Default Can seats be recertified?

Im going to look at Sparco TEC seats in a couple hours and the certification expires at the end of 2012. Does anyone know if an expired FIA rating can be renewed?

I have never heard of anything being recertified, and google agrees with me.

Just jew the guy down on price because they are only good for two years.

I would go with new ones if they are only $250 more. $700 is a fair bit for seats that only have two seasons left on them.

Ouch. When already spending that much, I would have gone with the extra $250 for the extra years.

I figure 2 seasons will give me enough to properly learn my car and get a real seat to compete with.
