Default clicking noise when I shift gears

When i shift from first to second, it seems like it stops a little after neutral and like clicks into gear. if i had to describe the feeling its like breaking through a raw spaghetti noodle when i shift. it only does it some of the time and only when im actually moving i believe. it also does it a bit from 2-3 and 3-4. anyone know what this could be? bad bushing?

thanks,
dave

Does it only happen when shifting hard? I have the same thing but only from 2-3. At the track it did it on almost every 2-3 shift. It is quite loud too, correct?

I don't know what it is though, sorry, all I know is that my car has been doing it for a while under HARD driving and hasn't exploded yet...

it doesnt always do it on hard shifts. it does it during normal driving. not always. its not real real loud. like the sound of hitting a plastic spoon softly on a wood log.

I think mine does the same thing. Depending on how close the rev match is, it will either do it or not at all.

Does it feel kind of like a step?

mine has done this under hard driving since day one (65K miles ago), I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I had this with my old tranny mostly when it was cold. Doesn't seem to be an issue with the new(ish) tranny.

I've never owned a car that had such a quirky, noisy transmission.

i have that problem on my tranny, it only happens when its cold out for me... is it hard for you to click all the way in reverse sometimes too? i remember reading somewhere on here that a similar person had this problem and he changed his tranny fluid and another fluid (i forget which) and the clicking went away. sorry i cant be more helpful but id start by flushing the fluid. and ill see if i can find the link to that post.

I have a similar problem. Sometimes grinds when the clutch is in when it's cold going into 2nd. It's usually difficult to shift into 2nd until it has warmed up a bit.
