Dog? Where is there dog? That there is pure genuine 100% murrican rainbow kitten butterfly unicorn. I got papers and everything.
I like Rev's, from a functional standpoint, the mostly unicolor background is better.
Unless Rev could put actual rhinestones on the rainbow kitten and bejazzle it all up ... that would be pretty fabulous.

Also I think the primary scale with big numbers needs to be the 3.909. As I probably won't be looking at the speedo much while autocrossing. speed is more interesting to look at on the track.
which speedo driven gear tooth count is that set up for?

with the 24t and 4.778 speedo will read optimistic by ~ 4-6 mph at highway speed I estimate. Not too terrible. I think 21T will work nicely with a 3.909. I was using a the 20T with a 3.636.
Cant seem to get a 21 or a 24t from Mazda got them from Chikara they came direct shipped from Maruha in Japan housing, seals, O-rings all assembled.

Outstanding research and solution Bob! My car has an OEM instrument cluster that I have gone to great lengths to keep stock looking. Matching boost gauge where the oil pressure goes, working oil pressure where the fuel goes, linearized water temp in OEM location and fuel gauge relocated to the eyeball vent to the left of the cluster. Lots of folks would just put an array of aftermarket gauges on the dash but sometimes it is nice to complete a pet project!

Ok, I think I've done a decent job of cleaning this thread up.
I left the talk of the dual speedo talk up, because it was a reasonable solution to Bob's original question, but I think all talk of buying funny gauges from Rev is gone.

Bob, how are you dealing with the different drive gears inside the transmission? I was under the impression there were 2 standard "driven" gear diameters and they were not interchangeable. It appears from your pictures that may not be the case?

I have several 3d plastic printers at work. I've considered it.
My research seems to indicate that M501-17-341A is the 7 tooth version of the M503-17-341A 6tooth drive gear that is use in the Miata. It is pared on an automatic 929 that also uses the same 20T drive gear M503-17-441 driven gear that I have been using with my 3.636 rear end so I think it will mesh with Miata compatible speedo gears and I’m hoping it is in fact 7 tooth. It is also used on a Mazda E2000 which is sort of a small delivery truck/van only sold in Asia where it gets pared with the 4.778 ring and pinion.
7 tooth drive gear. M501-17-341A
22 tooth driven gear M510-17-441A when using 4.778
18 tooth driven gear 3902-17-441A when using 3.909

The M501-17-341A is on backorder however might take a while to get from Japan and of the three 18 tooth driven gear part numbers I found that is the only one that worked with Mazda motorsports parts list I hope it has the correct direction it is found on some b series trucks that use M part number drive gears. I’m hoping the M in the part number means the Miata direction but I am not sure of that even. its not too terribly expensive to find out the parts run between $13-$15. Way cheaper than gage faces or added electronics.

I have a 4.77 in an NA as well and would like to correct my speedo somewhat. It’s a trackcar so perfect isn’t needed.
I have seen a post from bbundy with a yellow gear from Maruha for a 4.6. This seems like a viable option, but I wonder with the advancement of 3d printing continually growing, could making the right 25 tooth gear be viable?
Has anyone tried printing one, or figured out the gear pitch and helix to correctly model?
Or is there another easy source? Maruha is good, but shipping from Japan will probably be slow.
