differential question

Default differential question

Hey couldn't find answer in search

Can any one tell me if a diff from a mk2 1.8 (nb8) will fit my mk1 1.6 (na6) .
I will get all drive shafts and diff as package..

That there is an Australian diff, it works but you have to install it upside down.

I couldn't get the answer I was looking for so I came here because i thought thats what miataturbo was for....but instead use are making fun of me....so if use cant help me id rather you didn't post

All I can find is na8 diffs into na6 I want to no about nb8.

The old-timers are just trolling you, as this is one of the more rudimentary (and frequently asked) questions on the forum.

Any 1.8 diff, be it from an NA or NB, will fit into your 1.6 NA provided that you also swap the propshaft and axles. Also hang onto the bolts and nuts which connect the propshaft to the diff- I think those are different as well.

Confirmed, Diff flange bolts are different.
