Default Differential Reinforcement Kit for the MX-5

Hey all!

We've partnered up with Overtime Metalworks to bring you all this awesome differential reinforcement package. They consist of water-jet cut 6061 1/8 aluminum front and rear plates that were drawn up with CAD for a perfect fit. This is the most "no holds barred" kit on the market.

We offer just the plates as well as reinforced rear housings. For more info or to order, click here. If you have any questions, feel free to comment!

Looks like a great kit! Do you have plans to release one for the 1.6 housing?

I literally just got doing this to my housing and made my own plates. Probably would have bought some had I known about it.

Well in my experience, the 1.6 diff fails way before the diff housing goes. That said, if there is a real market for it, then there is no reason not to produce a version for the 1.6. I'll let Justin from OTMW know, maybe he'll hop on here and chime in.

Damn just did mine as well. Would of totally bought this kit instead of the k Miata's.

Will probably get one for my next Miata project that I haven't gotten yet

No idea what clutch type 1.6 diff you're talking about but clutch type vs viscous doesn't change the ring and pinion size which is what fails catastrophically on 1.6 cars

You could also get a spare diff housing 😉

Also - on behalf of OTMW and RW, I wanted to thank everyone who ordered. We are now sold out of the first batch! Restock incoming!
