Right now I have bilstein with 450/350 GC's. I and about 4 friends are on the same page with driving ability and aggressiveness and the car is fast on the track in comparison to everyone with Tein shit. However, its an exhaustive work-out to drive on the track and beats my ass on the street.

I'm also concerned about the low-ish spring rate, but I'm going to try it out and see how much rubber I can stuff under the fenders before revalving and going up in spring rate...because the 15x9 w/ 225 nt-01's are going to probably be too much grip for this suspension.

You run the 2.25" Eibach springs? I want them... I want to try 450/250 on my car so I can postpone my revalve... when are you mounting the new stuff and how much for the springs?

flex on medium-ish valving settings are awesomely smooth. Its worth the money, even without trackage yet.

I run Tein with 10/8 springs..
Its stiff as fuck. You wants.

Good to hear.

Gary at trackdog talked me into some Monos that come with 10/7kg springs, and they're valved for them aswell.

Crossing my fingers its worth that much $$!!

I basically flipped a coin for the deal on the ones I bought, or a new set of monos. We'll see what happens. He's sold a shitload of those monoflex in the last 3-weeks.

edit:
the rates are 550/390

Its so much smoother on the street than my old set-up and its muc easier to drive. There are less surprises than before on the bumps. I really look forward to getting on the track with these.

Well if the twins are giving you those results, I can't wait to pickup a set of the monos!!!

FWIW, the mono flex are 10kg/8kg. ;)

I just installed the Mono Flex's (12/7) and drove back-to-back autocrosses on a Koni 450/300 setup with GC's. The Flex's were set lower with more negative camber and less roll. Can't say much about the street ride as the Koni's were only driven on the runway. Ride comfort on the street with the Flex's is surprisingly good, but don't have anything to compare against except the street suspension on Bilsteins.

Maybe in the south with good roads they are smooth. Sometimes I think those SUVs I see all over the city are justified by the offroad experience of NYC roads.

ConeCrusher 04-30-2009 10:28 PM

I wouldn't drive ANY Miata in NYC...
