How hard is it to do your own alignment with those do it yourself setups? Any recommended do it yourself systems out there? I don't like relying on people who don't seem to know what they are talking about to do work on my car.

Its a lot easier than you think. Figure it taking you from setup to tear down about the same amount of time you have to wait in the waiting room at the chain store while they align you (at least it does for me). Then figure the amount of time driving there and back as the amount of time you just saved by doing it yourself.

I do my alignments on occasion. Its kinda a pain in the ***. If you have turn plates and the whole setup is fine, but if you don't its probably a 2 hour job including setup/teardown.

Definitely at your ride height you should be getting more camber and caster. I m at 4.2" front with 2.8* camber and 6.5* caster. One of my sides can get 3.3* of camber. The 2.8* at that ride height seems on the low-ish side.

I'm kinda surprised no one has mentioned a torque wrench.
100 foot/lbs on the long bolt, 70 on the rest.
Endlinks need less, like 28-36 lbs.

Sorry man, my bad.
I was just trying to keep my torque wrenches from rusting, by actually using them.

If you got XIDA's then why didnt you follow their alignment suggestions? You need more camber. I am running -2 all around. I have put 25k on 205 RE11s with no abnormal wear.

That is against their specs for a street car...why didn't you follow their alignment suggestions?

I went with flyin' miata street car specs because they were the first ones I found here, when I searched this site.

Damn, now people complain when I do a search instead of asking to be spoon fed!
