Default Extended tophats for 2.25” springs

Does anyone know if there are extended tophats available for 2.25” springs that allow the use of a spring isolator? If so please point me in the correct direction. I contacted 26Motorsports and they don’t make any and I didn’t see any poking around my search. Thanks.

You could probably just use these isolators on anyones top hats [except the TwoSix because they extend the sleeve to capture the rubber isolator]. 2.25" spring locator for Mazda Miata NB mounts

Yeah I was looking at those last night. The Nopro tophats would be ideal but I can’t find the damn things for sale. Thanks.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but couldn’t I simply cut a factory rubber bushing in half, and then use 1/2 on bottom and 1/2 on top to gain some travel (Essentially eliminating one factory bushing ) ? If this would work it should theoretically eliminate the need for an extended toohat with koni Coilovers as they are a shorter body than an msm. Thoughts?

There may not be enough material there to use. I wouldn't be surprised if the two halves compressed to the point where the top and bottom washers touch the hat itself.

You could also run out of threads on the shock shaft, which would let the shock rattle up and down.

Maybe. But in theory, what I propose should increase bump travel yes? Also, do the bumpstops need to be long enough to protrude down out of the extended tophats or no? I would think no but wanted to ask.

If the shock fits within the tophats, then it doesn't have to. Bumpstops are there to keep the shocks from bottoming out completely, and to keep the wheels from hitting things.
