I think you will break a 6 speed before you slip an fm2

I've used a FM clutch in my car for 2 seasons of racing. That included ~ 180 Pro Solo launches in the 380-400hp range on 275mm wide tires.
When I pulled the motor out this winter the clutch disk looked fine. I could have used it again...but I wasn't putting a used disk back in there when a replacement disk is only like $150 bucks. I think it's important to be ready for when corky finishes the T5 conversion kit. |

Excellent question. How much torque was this?

I was joking guys.
I found a post where Corky described the remaining work on the kit as "a piece of cake." It was from 2011. |

This data point definitely helped me. But what torque?

I have a XT 1.6 pp with a street disc on my vvt swap and it is heavier than my uncles FM2. I like it, I just wouldn't want to daily it. I also go through a slave cylinder every year or 2, but those are $7 from my distributor so not a big deal.

BTW, I went with FM level 2.
Installed everything a bit over a week ago and then spent a week looking for transmission bolts that were hiding in a plastic bag on a shelf the whole time. And I'm still missing the big one with the nut just below the starter. Annoying. I did manage to clean the garage in the process of trying to find the bolts. |
