Well on the positive side of things, the Getrag is ~1/4 to 1/3 the cost of a 6 speed... unless it was a new one.

Old crack in a tooth that shattered or a pinion deformed like a corkscrew and stripped all gears?
I.e. too much power/grip or just a flawed unit?

A lot of grip - 12" road race slicks. A lot of power - more than 250ft/lbs. An on/off clutch. But yeah, a lot less weight. Not sure what failed. Not gonna take it apart until I see if I can get the yard to warranty it. Sure, another one is cheaper (or free under warranty) than a tranny but if it won't hold up the price doesn't matter.

Well.....that whole assumption thing. Wasn't the diff after all. Somehow something moved permanently on that 1/2 shift and the driveshaft flange was grinding on the ppf.

Well that's interesting. Wonder which mount was the culprit.

My bet: PPF. That thing is flexy.

Haven't quite figured that out yet. I would think ppf also, but I don't understand how it would have stayed over too far. Should have just moved back. I'll look at it closer tomorrow.
