Help replacing lower tuet boot
I was wonder if any one new how to replace the lower turet boot on the transmission ( the small one that actually seals the fluid in the turet). During my new clutch install I noticed the boot was torn and decided to buy a new one. However, I though the shifter simply twisted off some how, but it appears thats not the case. I did also notice what look like a roll pin that goes in one side but there is no hole on the other side to push it out. I can't quite figure out how else this would come apart and dont want to ruin it since I have a race this weekend to go to.
I'll try and take pictures to help clarify what I am talking about incase there is still any ambiguity. Thanks

cut the old boot off with a knife
thoroughly coat the inside of the new boot with white lithium grease.
Slide it over the top of the shift lever. It's tight (like dickinthebuttforthefirsttime tight) but after spending an hour trying to figure that **** out, it took no more than 3 seconds to slide it on once it's lubed up.
