How to press in wheel studs
2 Attachment(s)
Apparently the PROPER way to install new wheel studs is to press them in. Sure you can use the "pull with a nut" method, but that's not kosher.
So just grab your trusty harbor freight tool and press them in. Clamp the ball joint tool in a vice and stand on it. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1346740143 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1346740143 |
Do you need gorilla feet shoes when you do this?

I press in my studs by mounting my wheels.

WARNING: Wheel studs, whether OEM or aftermarket, must be pressed in.
DO NOT hammer from backside or pull through with a nut on the other side |
I've also electricuted myself about 23 times now in one weekend.

So one of my studs is loose and looks like it's time for replacement. Any other methods of doing this without taking the hub out?
