Default Isolating the Brake Booster from Boost

I know the vac source for the brake booster has a checkvalve, but it was never designed for a boosted enviroment (much like the PCV valve), so I'm unsure of it's capabilities.

Has anyone added a aftermarket 1 way check valve in-line with the vac source line, and if you did, was there any improvmenet in braking when immediatly transitioning from WOT to braking?

Any of the hardcore track guys have any issues/experiences with just the OEM checkvalve and nothing else?

Cheers

I just added another checkvalve to the line, didnt remove any other checkvalve, but barely noticed any change.

Real men don't have 2 check valves in their brake booster line, they have 201 bits of rubber hose securing their check valve line.

Can you imagine if one broke? What a pain that'd be trying to find out which one. I bet itd sound cool hearing 201 check valves open and close in succession. (sp?)

Silly...

Anyway, I'm guessing from the daft responses so far that no-one has encountered any issues with 'boosting' the brake booster?

I have taken apart a check valve line from a BPT GTX designed for boost and one from a Miata, couldn’t tell a difference.

My brake vacuum lines are -8 push lock hose with a single OEM check valve removed from a stock hose pushed into it.

If I LFB too much, I run out of vac for the booster, and my VICS used to stop working too. I put a Mighty-Vac canister and check valve on the VICS, and it can operate about 5 times off that. I need to put a BIG can on the brake booster.
