Right, searching around and I can't find it and don't have a 1.8 axle to compare to.

I know the spline is bigger, but is the axle seal the same? I want to order some new ones from Mazda and they only list one part number for the axle seal for 2004, wanna make sure I am not missing anything.

 

Of all people, mazda should know. But from memory, it's the same part number / same part.

 

I didn't actually speak to anyone from mazda. I searched through all the diagrams and such and they had nothing else listed, I just wanted to make sure before I ordered, since I only have 1.6 parts to compare against.

Rosenthal also lists a single part number (MA02-27-238A) for all '94-'05 differential axles, regardless of MSM or not.
