For Reasons, I need to swap my RUCA-I delrin bushes into a new arm. They are proving difficult to remove without damage. I have removed the grease nipples and the pin, but the bushes themselves are tight in the housing.

Any tips?

All good now. Took a deep breath, and a not-so-sharp chisel, added hammer, and worked the bush out. For those playing at home, even fully housed there is a gap between the two halves of a completed bushing. You only need to move the first half bushing out a few mm - enough to get a half decent angle on the gap from the other side of the bush, then get a blunt screwdriver and gently drive the bush out. Once one half is out, its mate comes easily.

Yea i have a weirdly thin, bent, alignment punch bar that i try to get in the gap and once started, they come right out. Sounds like you figured out the method. Worst case scenario you burr one a little near the ID and file it out.

I'm installing the bronze poly retrofit kit, and I could use some advice. I have the Paco adjustable RUCA's, and I can't see a good way to install grease fittings. It looks like my options are:

1) Notch out or remove the strap on the subframe that partially obscures the inner bushings
2) Don't add grease fittings to these locations

here's Sean's photo of an OE RUCA. You can see the steel strap that you need to need to make sure you clear on your setup at full droop:


here's a shot of a Paco RUCA. You can see how it's built, and how it sits in relation to the subframe strap:


here's my Paco RUCA striped to mark where the strap sits at full droop. You can see that I can't get on the bushing surround without getting under the area covered by the subframe strap:

You may be able to stick a 90 on top, cant quite tell if there's enough room. If not it looks like notching the strap may be the only way.
