I know one of the guys at Race Tech in Belgium has done it already. They mostly work on prepping Skylines and stuff for Nurburgring weekend hot lap junkies.

Im happy to start the commotion.

Marc @ M-Tuned Thanks for the props.

Travis - Thanks for sharing the egineering. Sure I can test, Blackhawk Farms is known as one of the hardest tracks in the country on brakes, but it will need to wait for spring, as we have a few inches of snow now. But in the interest of keeping me safe send a pair of brackets over. You have my addy from the OPG order.

Bolts were 2 diff dia so I could get a fit with 0 slop. I reamed the spindle holes.

Rotors over 11" are overkill. Too much weight, increased inertia, cost.

Racecars - Production racing (showroom stock, spec miata, production ect) have been utilizing factory components with success for decades. Race pads and good ducting are sufficient. Other classes with open rules add larger thermal capacity components, but anything beyond the maximum + safety factor will hurt laptimes. Remember, unsprung and rotational weight is equivelent to a factor of 10-15 times static sprung weight.

Miata hub bore is 55mm.
Hondas are 64.1mm.

You need a hub centric ring to use any mini Cooper rotor on the miata. I 3d printed some temporarally and they worked OK, but I had vibrations on the highway till I replaced them with aluminum.

I don't know about 1.8 calipers, but mini rotors fit under wilwood calipers. You can go bigger than 11" too, if you want.

I suppose I could turn rings as well. I will continue to search for a rotor that has a 54.1 mm bore, just need to find how to search them by size rather than vehicle. A plus I saw with the Mini rotors is, they will likely be in production a lot longer than '90 Corrado brake parts will be (if they aren't discontinued already).
