Default NB lower shock and ball joint through bolts - washer needed?

Hi,
I was looking at the FSM to torque up my lower shock mount and ball joint through bolt and I noticed that the FSM shows what appears to be a split/spring washer. I thought that was odd as I don't have any washers there currently, but perhaps I forgot to put them back. I go online to check the part number to order, the the parts diagram doesn't show any washer there! Even more odd...
Can anyone clarify if there is supposed to be a washer there or not?
My guess is there probably should be one there.

at the risk of answering my own question ...from below link it appears that this washer exists. Part number 9997112000

Bolt & washer front or rear shock absorber genuine Mazda MX-5 mk1 & mk2 997801270H 999711200.

still a little curious where my washers went, and why parts diagram doesn't show them.

IIRC the lower balljoint doesn't use a lockwasher, but the shock does. The shock is also a non-flanged nut, since it uses a lockwasher.
