good call!

I'd kill all of you for a 949 twin disc. I'd kill several of you or wound all of you for a FM II clutch. This puck-style spec clutch sucks my ass on engagement and certainly makes my transmission bits sad.

IMHO puck clutches are basically pointless on any of the cars in this thread. Outside drifting or a lot of drag racing, now way a sub 300WHP, sub 2500 LB car needs one.

When I do get a clutch its going to be an ACT 2600LB pressure plate on a run of the mill organic disk. It worked on a 3000LB 300WHP AWD car for drag, it will work on a Miata. Light pedal effort for anyone with even a single functioning testicle, smooth enagagement. Cheap.

got any brand or model in head?

Think a 1.6L clutch can hold fine at 130 or 140 ft/lbs to the wheels?

absRTP 05-26-2010 11:07 PM

yes I know, and with 240 ft/lbs....

theshdwconspracy 05-27-2010 12:18 AM

Yeah 1.6 clutches are fine at that range. Mine held up to some absolute rape at 160ish for 3 years and is just now starting to give a little.
