Default Stock R Billies or Koni for AutoX ES?

My '94 R package just hit over 100k miles and it rides pretty rough. I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with Koni Yellows over the factory R billies?

The car is my daily so comfort is somewhat important, and I want to compete in the street category class in autox next year. I like that with the Konis you can actually lower the car 1" over the factory R package height (this is permissible as stated by the SCCA rule book http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...nd%20links.pdf), which may give me a competitive advantage, but if they ride as rough or more rough as the billies, I'll skip the headache and keep my factory setup.

You can run the konis as the r-package height not the lower one in street per the rules you linked. They ride worse the the billies.

Thanks man!

Now I can put that $500 towards track/autox days.
