Stupid me, RX7 LSD
That rhymes and I didnt mean it to.
Ive searched here, google, and eBay. Without much success. What should I be searching for to get the LSD that fits the 1.8 diff? 86-88 GXL non turbo right? All I get with google is people talking about their RX7s. When I search here all I find is people talking about them and saying how cheap they are.
Much appreciated

Two articles for you to read:
Solomiata : Drivetrain : Interchange
My 1990 Miata
And a fun read with the genius that is Hobie: http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=257211 with some good info thrown in, not surprisingly, from the MT.netters.

I hear you on not being able to find them cheaply, the one recent thread was way overpriced and sold quick.
I'm hoping to find a deal like karter74!

Actually I WILL let you know.
I just got lucky and a CLer is swapping me a 6" VLSD for my extra valve cover I was going to polish.
To me it's more cost effective to have an extra 6" anything on hand ready to swap out, although the sudden failure and ensuing carnage would suck, especially if it involves towing costs.

I hope you mean 7", the 8" is RX7 turbo or RX8. Neither will bolt in easily.
I just bought a clutch type LSD from a 88 RX7 off of Ebay. Should be here any day. Cost was $150 plus $65 shipping for the whole diff assembly. (missed on one the week before that went for $170 + $80 shipping) I can't use the pumpkin but the aluminum diff housing with the wings will work on a Miata, so I have another spare. I have a complete subframe assembly off a 99 in the garage and I pulled the diff and pumpkin out to install the RX7 center section. I intend to bolt the pumpkin together loosly and then take it to somebody who knows how to set up the R&P gears.
They pop up from time to time on Ebay or Craigslist, but be careful of the sellers who try to sell the 89-91 vsld RX7 diffs. They often describe them as having clutches when they see the discs inside.
