Default Supermiata BX1175 Boxmount BBK

Announcing the new Supermiata BX1175 Boxmount BBK. Taking pre-orders in a week or two. Later we'll release our separate 3" duct and hose kits. The orange duct you see in this image is a proto (and no it won't fit your brakes, sorry). Production duct will change a little.
Base kit with BP20 pads and straight vane rotors. Upgrades to G-loc pads and directional rotors. Visit the website for current pricing.
https://supermiata.com/Supermiata-bx...brake-kit.aspx Shoot an email to info@949racing.com to be put on our mailing list for updates.

Confirmed fit wheel list:
15x10 +25 949 Racing 6UL
15x10 +25 Konig Dekagram
15x10 +25 Jongbloed Series 500
15x9 +35 Konig Dekagram
15x9 +35 Sparco FF1
15x8 +28 Advan TC4

Because the OEM spindles are lug mounts, we discovered it's overall stiffer to use our double shear boxmount and a lug mount caliper than a cantilevered radial adapter bolted to the spindle ears in single shear. Like our BX11 kit,
the small form factor our our bracket allows a full 3" port directed at the hub underneath the caliper. The lower image is a view down into the backside of the rotor. We also closed up any holes or gaps in the dust shield and hat to force all that air through the vanes and caliper.
On a separate note, we're stoked to have moved all wheel and parts engineering and design in house. That CAD render is 100% in house. Either drawn or for OEM parts, based on a photometric scan to a parasolid. All FEA and fatigue testing, in house.

Superlite 4 piston lug mount calipers
Patented Supermiata Boxmount caliper brackets
G-Loc or Wilwood 7420 (20mm) pads
11x7.5" x 1.1" directional or straight vane rotors
6061 T-6 forged CNC hats
Braided brake hoses

Duct kit will include the duct you see in the pic, proprietary backing plates and all mounting hardware but no hoses. That should come later, maybe October and run somewhere around $200/set
Hose kit will include flange for the nose, hoses, clamps a few other bits and run around $70. That'll also be October or thereabouts.
Offering the duct & hose kits separately for those that need to configure things differently for their build
Combine BX1175, duct and hose kit will give you everything you need to put full time attack brakes adequate for a 500whp car.

Oh yeah, in case you hadn't heard, we have some new wheels coming

Looks mega. The lack of previous kits offering something wider than 0.81” baffled me.

That's solely because there is a single 11.75x.81 Wilwood rotor that retails for like $35. It's a piece of crap but everyone used it for the last 15 years because it was cheap. We would have our own, much heavier wall directionals made but even those were limited. TSE's kit used the .81 but had the 20mm thick pads which was nice. We ran those on our cars. Still not enough rotor though. Our new 1.1" directionals are much thicker wall than the cheapie 11.75x.81 Wilwoods. While the weight may scare some away, I have learned to love thermal mass when it comes to brakes.

Spare rotors product pages not built yet. Custom, US made. About $250/pair for straight vane, around $310/pair for directional vane.

These rotors are substantially thicker wall than any other NA/NB BBK on the market. Add the 3" ducts when they become available and both pad and rotor life will be better than anything else available.

Will 15x9 6UL with a 5mm spacer fit? I'd imagine this isn't what you'd call huge!? But just wanted to check.

You said the forthcoming ducts won't fit my brakes, but will they fit your BX11 kits or is that a separate design?

I forget exactly but I think t was more like 10 or 15mm. Basically a no go.

Our duct bolts to our bracket and flows through a gap that no other bracket has. BX11 will have a different duct. Same basic style and still 3" though.

I don't think so, sorry. You will have to download the template once we upload it to the site.

Joke aside, we'll publish full images of the ducts when we start taking orders for them. Some details we want to keep under wraps until then.

As of today, we think we can ship the first kits around the 2nd week of September. Like everything else, we're waiting on various suppliers.

Yeah, supply chains are a disaster right now. Christmas is going to be a mess this year.

Yup.
