Default Suspension track and spirited

I'm developing my car to be 60% spirited driver, 30% track autoX, 10 normal driving. I'm looking for a shock/spring (or coilover) that is more oriented for track duty and group runs on twisties than comforting. I was looking at koni race with qa1 springs and also tein flex. Looking for good opinions on both. Not too concerened with comfort and wanna spend around 1200. Right now the car has FM F&R sway bar and super pro bushings.

You'll end up with a disappointing sub-par setup. Find another $800 or you'll regret it, I promise you.

There was a guy on CR selling some Ohlins recently for a good price. That's your ticket.

Read on Miata.net and you'll see that 949 is going to make something affordable to us commoners.

For that price range I would do stewart revalves or save more and get some xidas. Suspension, tires, and brakes can make a big difference on lap times.

Im gonna wait and see when the Xida-CS's come out and how much they will be. I still got quite a few months before first event. I guess Tokico blues will have to do for now.

Pretty sure those were sold.

Tein flex are right around your corner and tbh they're not bad for your application. Just don't buy them for retail/new; not worth the price.

The FCM stuff is amazingly well valved. I love my 375/275 set up, its easy to control and very predictable. The only problem is that once you figure in the end links, swaybar, alignment, and corner weighting the price starts to grow.
