Default Tein Advance 10k/6k review with video

I recently purchased Tein Basis Advance from 949. Despite a small delay due to waiting on springs I requested Emilio shipped the coilovers to me saturday even though it cost him a bit more. As always 949 went the extra mile to make a customer happy.

Coming from xidas (had to sell due to my budget for this year so for the price of my used xidas I got coilovers, c3ms, and 225 rs3's)

Coming from 700/450 xida the ride quality is surprisingly very nice. They are no xidas, but still very tolerable given the rates.

As for the damping I would have to say the same thing. While no xida the coilovers do a pretty good job despite a very bumpy airport with very bad tarmac.

Overall on if someone is on a budget I highly recommend these. My car had to run in DP the day of the event, but had I put in all 30 lbs of my interior I would have won STR by over a second.

So needless to say interior is going back in and im dropping back down to STR.

Here is a video of my best run.

Interesting to hear your review with an xida downgrade.

How long did you own the xidas? Can you give a %awesome with 100% being xida?

Cool, thanks. So what then, like 50-60% for autox/track behavior? I'm guessing this is with the same sway bar setup (same and I'm planning).

Put it this way if the suspension was a girl i'd **** it a few times, but I dont plan to marry it. Its cheap, it works the end.

More vids of the coilovers in action. Managed to steal FTD away from a 1300lbs turbo kit car based on a miata chassis.

Looks like a nice intermediate set up and the fact they can handle 700/400 springs is awesome. On a side note, either your motor mounts are blown or your shifter bushings are missing with the gear lever moving that much!

Did you get Tein Street Basis or Tein Street Advance? There is no Basis Advance as far as I know.

They'd have to be Street Advance. Basis is just Advance on 3 clicks from full soft or something like that. It can't handle stiff springs.
