Default Sport brakes question-Any 1.8 brackets?

Hey guys,
I have a chance to buy a full set of sport brakes for pretty cheap and swap them over to my 1.6. Only problem is the guy doesn't have the brackets to go with them. Will any 1.8 caliper brackets fit both front and rear sport brakes? I've had some people say yes and some say no.

Thanks!

Yes, any 1.8 bracket will work, however the brackets must match the rotors.

If you want to run the sport rotors, you will need the sport brackets.
If you run 1994-2005 non-sport brackets, you will have to run 1994-2005 non-sport rotors.

That said, if you do swap in the sport calipers, you will need the sport master cylinder too.
