Default three points bar. How to???

Hello.
I have a LHD miata and i bought a three points bar strut from Cobalt for my miata.
Mazda Miata Parts & Accessories at MiataMania.com

In the pictura you can see a LHD car.
But when i try to install the bar, i realized that the air signal to the Booster is in the middle of the part i need to fix the firewall part of the bar.
I donīt like to drop the metal hose. I want it to be fixed.
How can i do???

Has anybody the bar installed? any trick???

Thanks.

unscrew the brackets holding the hard lines to the fire wall and release the others from the plastic clips. they will easily bend down and forward to clear the space where the firewall mount goes.

you can sorta see it in these pics:

I just installed mine last week. You can't do it without moving those lines. You can fix them to the firewall again lower by drilling new holes for the factory clips or diy new clamps/holders.

No tricks unfortunately.

Is it worth it?

How easy to make a MC brace off of it?

Thanks.

How much of a difference?

Did a fair bit for cowl shake. Definetely stiffened up steering. Replaced my Corksport bar with this triangle one. The Corksport single made a difference, this was that about doubled.

Do you like it?

Yes & no. Yes is does it's job. No it makes getting to other stuff very difficult. Particularly around the turbo & mani.

Is it worth it?

I bought mine used for cheap. Wouldn't have spent new retail money on it. I was happy with the single bar before. This was a great deal so I jumped on it. We'll see if the PITA of working around it or removing it to work on stuff offsets the driving gain.

How easy to make a MC brace off of it?

Have no idea. It's all aluminum so I'm guessing diy welding is out, don't know how much force you'd want to put on it with a clamp or bolting through it.

Thanks.

You're welcome.

I found mine improved rigidity and was most noticable on moderately slow sweeping corners. car felt more planted.

anyway, i got mine used too so I wasn't freaked out about cutting the original master cylinder brace off the right hand side and welding it onto the drivers side. just tossed some aluminum wire in my MIG and went nuts.
