I've been looking into getting some NB top hats for my NA in hope of dropping the car a little more (on shocks and springs) and gaining a little suspension travel. Then I realized that my NB has NB top hats. I could just buy aftermarket NB top hats, then put the stock NB hats on the NA, 2 mods for the price of 1.

I'm pretty sure that putting the NB mounts on my NA is going to accomplish what I'm going for. My real concern here is with my NB. I'm looking at the ISC mounts. In reading about various top hats I've read that they can put excessive preload on the springs. Is this going to be a problem with stock shocks and springs on my NB? Is this "2 for 1" mod a reasonable concept or a really bad idea?
