hmm interesting, maybe you can mount them rearward on the beams under the trunk where the trailer hitches mount

Would one of those GoPro Heros be sufficient for recording? I'd be willing to test it out with mine if it would help, though I have the wide-angle version...

You know, it's 30 fps, I'm sure that would be fine. Wheel hop takes place at a 2 Hz or less. It's not IDEAL, but it should be damned good, if you can hang it off the car and point it back at the wheel. Wide angle will help.

If you're going to do a video shot, also get a few of the differential.

I'll see if I can get some video this weekend. Do you want it facing directly at the wheel or would something angled back from the quarter panel / rocker panel work?

Getting video of the diff shouldn't be a huge issue.

Something that will show wheel/suspension motion from the inside. Maybe mounted just behind or in front of the diff and facing the wheel. Must also be wide enough view to determine relationship of movement to fenderwell either fore or aft of the wheel and possibly above.

Damn, it sounds like it would take a couple of tries or a couple of angles to get the good shots. Thanks for trying. I don't get wheel hop. I get slipping clutch, or I'd help.

Radius rods for fwd to contol wheel hop due to suspension deflection:

googled it...

I can give that a try as well. Now the trick will just be inducing repeatable wheel hop (without breaking anything, since this is my DD).

Unfortunately that brace won't work for a SM2 autocross car. That's a perfect example of an illegal subframe brace. Straight to prepared class for me. :(

Actually, the more I think about it, I'm not sure us SM2 guys can use ANY of these solutions since we're adding parts that move with vertical suspension motion and they are not using the original suspension mounting points.

Thankfully, I just want to have a fun car. Don't care what class they put me in, as long as it costs the same amount to run.
