turbo miata cts rear end

Hey guys ive been doing research on the rack and pinion swaps 3.6 being the best gearing but i kno this can get pricey wouldn't it be better just to swap in the fm rear in kit and get a custom driveshaft to mate it to the 6speed ,being more durable

concealer404 04-27-2015 05:15 PM

Damn. 3.6:1 ratio steering rack? Sick.

trae 04-27-2015 05:26 PM

The rear diff dude

concealer404 04-27-2015 05:26 PM

I don't have a rack in my diff. Do i need one?

trae 04-27-2015 05:27 PM

Wow

concealer404 04-27-2015 05:33 PM

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

trae 04-27-2015 05:35 PM

Yeah your prize is a cookie when would you like me to ship it?

concealer404 04-27-2015 05:38 PM

Sorry, i'm trying this gluten-free thing, and i doubt you have that sort of cookie on hand.

concealer404 04-27-2015 05:39 PM

I'll tell you what, though. I'll throw you a bone. :)

So what you want to do here is... spend a couple grand for a CTS-V rear end, and then attach it to the same weakest link in your driveline you had to start with.

Sound about right?

trae 04-27-2015 05:40 PM

Aww sorry to hear your on a diet ,i guess you dont get a prize better luck next time

trae 04-27-2015 05:45 PM

Let's call it what it really is - the V8Roadsters diff kit. And you can get it from V8R with a driveshaft, no need for custom.

/useful info

carry on

Are you thinking that installing your rear end will be drastically different depending on your motor of choice?
