Default Upper control arm bushing question

Hey guys, going to ask a stupid question here. Was just under the car checking something completely unrelated and happened to notice something. There seems to be a minor gap between the upper control arm bushings and the washer on the "long bolt". Found a random upper control arm pic from a DIY tutorial and it shows this gap as well (see red circle)

Quick google search of control arm pics seems to show this in varying degrees. Looked around online and there was 1-2 other threads on this subject but more geared towards poly bushings vs OEM. I did notice the gap is very slightly larger on the passenger side. Arm is snug/no play and there's no noises when driving the car but this does seem a little odd to me.

Normal or something I should look into?

My control arms have always had that gap, I wouldn't worry about it.

Awesome. Thanks for the quick response. Seems pretty normal from other pics I've seen, but just struck me as odd

Normal. The metal sleeve inside the bushing extends further past the rubber part of the bushing. The washer is contacting with the metal sleeve rather than the rubber, giving it that gap you see.
