Default Value of used Fat Cat Coilovers?

A buddy of mine put Xidas on his NB and has some used Fat Cat Coilovers sitting in a box. He used them for 7 track seasons. No known issues with them. We are trying to determine a fair price for them. What’s a fair price range for them? Thanks for your help.

Half the price of new, after they have been rebuilt.

Because I wouldn't be interested in putting a setup with that much time/wear on them on my own car. YMMV

Thanks. Just to be clear, he used them for 7 track season and approx 3,000 miles. This was not SPEC racing or wheel to wheel.

Shaikh's special esoteric body oils that these were anointed with would have worn off by now.

I think the 50-60% of new is about right. Whenever I go to sell a used part in good condition . . . and actually want to sell it in a reasonable timeframe . . . that's my goto. When you do advertise, mention the 3,000 miles and HPDE usage, because if your 7 track seasons were like mine you would already have gone through a couple of rebuilds or replacements on those shocks. Make sure to specify the spring rates.

You can probably get $1000-1300, which is about 50% of their new cost I believe. Spring rates, build date, original receipt, good pictures will help him fetch a bit more than without this info.

Were any of those oils from a snake? Just curious.

Anecdata: I recently sold mine locally for $1000 with ~5000 street miles and two track days on them.

$450.

-$300 for the sleeves and springs, used
-$100 for the tophats, bumpstops, and all assocated hardware
-$50 for the shocks which might not be (but probably are) junk due to excessive track use without a rebuild
