Swap a 1.8 diff or do you plan on staying stock?

Buying that new will be pricy, i'd rather swap in one from a 1.8 and move on.

Yeah, the 1.6 is weak and -can- break even under stock power. Upgrade to a torsen from a 1.8 car and **** bitches.

Yes, swap to a 1.8 rear end then get a diff for that. 1.6 ring gears are soft.

Don't waste money on an LSD for the 1.6. Get a 1.8 Torsen (or better yet a 1.8 Open and put a Kaaz or OS Giken in that).

You can find cheap open 1.8 rears at junk yard. Go for that and put kaaz in... Don't forget to get also 1.8 drive shaft & half shafts!
