Actually the R888 sucks so bad a lot of the SM santioning bodies are going back to the RA1.

Edit: It's unknown how many sizes will be available at this point from my research. Many of the spec series cars, 944, e30, not just SM, made the switch to r888 and are crying also. Both Nasa and Scca have swapped sm back to RA1's. The other series' may follow suit.

R888 heat cycle out before they even get down to a slick wear as the RA1 would have 15 sessions or so at optimum then go down a sec or so until corded.
