WTF calipers are these??
 

These came with a Miata I bought....any ideas? Obviously wilwoods and I believe they are older dynalites. They were supposedly for Miata but I haven't tried mounting them yet. They also came with 11" vented rotors.

Looks a lot like the 949 kit with a different version caliper on it. They make different super lite calipers. Check this link.

that is the billet dynalite. fitment matches the forged dynalite, but the forged one wasn't always available.

the offset of the mounting bracket looks like it's one of the later designs that fits the 11" rotors under the stock NB 15" wheels.

what kind of rotors does it have? two or one piece?

Chiming in. These may be going on my car soon as a cheap stop gap before I go for the 11.75" setup. I agree, after a little more digging they look like the dynalite billet.

The rotors are one piece, and look a lot like drilled Corrado rotors. I need to compare the offsets to be sure. If they are Corrado rotors I already have a new set to use so I just need some track brake pads to try this out.

if they're corrado rotors, it's probably the original early FM big brake kit. You could confirm that with them.

note that the offset of the rotors/brackets means they dont fit with the stock 15" NB wheels.

As long as they fit with 1st gen 15x8 6ULs I am good to go.

Well they do not clear the 6UL spokes, but are just baaaarely rubbing. A 5mm wheel spacer should take care of it.

oh damn. guess the 6ul spokes are similar placement to the NB wheels. check these pics:

There's about a 5mm or less gap in some spots.

Early FM kits had red anodized brackets and had FM machined into them. All the early kits had billet dynalites. They existed before wilwood even made the forged version. I don’t think the forged dynalites existed before about 2000 or so.

I have red FM brackets that came with Forged calipers running Corrado rotors.... so at least some existed I guess.

Looks like your spoke clearance is also pretty close? Are you using spacers?

Awesome thanks. Looks like you have about a 3-5mm gap so with the spacers I should be OK.

You wonder why I offered these up...saves me the time/hassle of dealing with fitment issues. You let me know when you have it all worked out so I know to ask for them back. :giggle:

If spacers work to make the NB 15"s fit over the wilwood kits I will be so unbelievably happy. I have been trying to figure out how to put dynalites on my car and make them fit for about 6 months but I keep coming back to needing new (big) wheels and tires. Since I DD the car and won't go back to PS, big wheels and big tires are out, hence the predicament. This looks seriously promising! Anyone here know a good source for 5 or 10 mm spacers and longer studs? Furthermore, I assume that spacers are perfectly strong enough for high performance driving?

Pretty inexpensive to use 98-02 chevy f-body ARP studs on the front (and back if you have 90-93 hubs).
