ZF8-45 and other project plans
I’ve made progress on getting a track car but disappointingly not on the ZF8 swap tho I do have a bit of info. The car I bought had most of the right bits - got it from a guy near San Diego & drove it home to South Cackalacki.
How this relates to ZF8 swaps is that I stopped thru Dallas & bought a St 3 Walter Motorsports trans, and had them install it. One of the guys that is a partner now at Walter was also responsible for some of if not the first folks to do the NC swap and they did it without the TC. He said it worked great, but they did use a sprung center clutch disc like what I showed in a previous pic. I talked to him about durability specifically and he said the guys he worked with had built a few with solid hub discs which had given problems. Based on the conversation with him I will prob add a relatively light flywheel w the spring ctr disc but am still planning to go without TC. I’m VERY interested in pics/ info from other NA/NB swaps.

This is what I was afraid of... Do you have any pictures of what the transmission tunnel looks like from underneath? Any other large roadblocks?
