4-port EBC valve kits for EFR6258/6758/7163

1 Attachment(s)
With the huge capability of the Borg Warner EFR turbos being explored more regularly as of late, we decided to put together a small kit to make it easier to get a proper 4-port EBC valve installed. This kit includes all the bits and pieces needed to convert from the EFR's standard 3-port valve to a MAC 4-port valve. The bracket, valve, mounting hardware, and vacuum fittings are all included, as well as an extra piece of hose and two spring clamps.

We expect that most customers will combine this kit with Turbosmart's bolt-on EFR dual-port actuator. The combination will be the easy button for medium/big boost EFR builds.

Heck yea!

Has anyone else had issues with the dual port wastegate canister like Aidan has? Or is it just a heat and or alignment issue?

Aidan and I brainstormed a while ago about his problem with the actuator. I agree that it's a heat issue but it's exacerbated by his turbo location (low mount). I've had a Turbosmart actuator on my car for a long while, at least a year, with zero issues. On the Trackspeed kit, the actuator sits right under my hood vent, so there's no concern about heat-related issues.

Thanks for the info. This would be great solution for map switching between low to high boost. It sucks when a high boost canister means 18psi minimum.

I am going to swap to this shortly in Acamas. I have been using the Turbosmart with off-the-shelf 14psi springs (7+7), but I'm going to swap the inner spring for a 3psi to bring the base down to 10, and then walk it up from there. Should make it a little more driveable at partial throttle and give me better boost control on E85 at 25+psi as well.

Never heard of MAC, how does it compare to a Grainger 4 port solenoid? (just what I've used in the past)

psyber_0ptix 03-12-2018 10:17 AM

MAC is pretty common, but IIRC there where two types of solenoids with different frequencies, however, the part number I commonly found in the past all pointed to 46A-AA1-JDBA-1BA
If only I could figure out how to do Aidan's multi position boost control switch. It'd be awesome to have a 3 position selector for low - med - high.
