hmm their using a twin scroll turbo, wonder if there is any other technology to increase low end output with the turbo.

Direct injection, probably variable cam timing, and an assload of base compression.

I have the habit of not lugging the engine below 2k-ish. Don't get me wrong, I think they've built a decent motor, but I'd be far more happier with a load of torque between 2.5-4k.

My guess is that the torque "curve" is pretty flat from 1200 - 5kish.
