Default 15x10 Belak industries Wheels

Well Putting my flake jacket on Because these may have been discussed before, And well they are not 949s Wheels.

I have just been looking around at what rim and tire setup i want to run on my current lsx miata when it is finished and found these.

15" Belak Industries Racing Wheel Rims 15x10 4x100 5x114 3 15"X10" | eBay

Sorry for the linking. But they are a ccw looking wheel. 15x10 or what ever you want. also Any sizing and backspacing you could ask for.

Only issue is they claim to be drag racing wheels so i may throw an email to them to see if they are good for road racing as well.

Thoughts.

Well my thoughts are.. What would you be getting out of these wheels that make them worth $1,200 more than a set of 15x10 6UL's? And unless I missed it, I am not seeing any weights listed for the wheels you linked either...

These are listed at $998 per pair, ouch. Aside from trying something new, what about these wheels makes you consider paying > twice the price of 6ULs?

I didnt post these to compare them to a 6ul its just another option, The price i did not notice At first.

And the weight is something that i am sure will not be Much of a difference. I Posted this to allow people to See something else is out there. And some Guys run different body mods That may need a different offset And do not like running spacers.

The only thing these have on 6uls is two piece construction and choosing your offset.

But then again that is all if it is worth it to the buyer.

I myself will most likely buy the 6ul. But having options or more information is never a bad thing.

So you didn't notice that you were about to spend a grand for 2 wheels...? A simple "Thank you." would have sufficed.

And, were you asking for thoughts on a set of wheels/tires for your Miata? Or were you posting these out of the generosity of your heart to let everyone know of another 15x10 option? Your first and second posts don't quite make sense together. Unless our "thoughts" (which you requested), have swayed you from your thousand dollar pair of wheels, to the 6UL's. Again, a simple "Thank you." would have sufficed.

I realized it before you posted just did not post again in time.

Also I will say that I was really interested in them until I figured out the total cost. I would still love a set but I have a lot more things to buy for my car before I spend 2k on a set of wheels.

Also this is no attack on 949 or the 6ul so you can calm down. You guys get so offended when something like this is posted.

I was just showing another set of wheels to whom it may concern. I do recall a thread asking for 15x10 options a couple of years ago before emillio released his.

Therefore I was just checking them out. And they are still a possibility. But less of one knowing the full price.

That auction is for two wheels so $2k/set. Being from Florida, my guess is those are CCW billet 6061 centers, with Real spun aluminum outers. Not the most structurally efficient construction method for a wheel but it allows a small company to make custom size with minimal investment it tooling.

Good call emilio I think the price range of these I would either get a set of ccws or just order your wheels and get more tires.

And I agree that they are more likely ccw centers. So at that point I think ccws are starting at 425 a wheel. There is no reason to choose these over getting a set directly from ccw and getting all the warranties and everything.

My guess is I will be placing an order with you soon

Yeah the only advantage I could see to those would be, being able to get them hub centric (maybe), and not needing 1/4" spacers in the front to make the hoosier not hit the upper shock mount at full compression. But you could get those same advantages over the 949 at almost half the cost of those wheels with spinwerks.

True true. At 1k for a full set they would of been nice.

But 2k is ccw range. And well both are way over the 6ul.

Well I wouldn't say fail 18psi just more of a improvement needed. Haha.

Either way thanks for the help to the conclusion.

Nothing really exciting there. Emilio gets my money on another 2 sets of 15x10's next week.

If you order the optional ARP fasteners, you can boost well beyond stock pressure, increasing total performance, without risk of bursting your rims! It's a pity, that I already have rims on order from 949.

But guys! They're aerodynamic! And everyone knows that 949's have always needed a bead-locking option.
