The general recommendation for newbies is to stick with non-r compounds while you are initially learning to control the car. Moving to r-compounds too soon will often hide bad driving habits.
For fat cat coil over suspension owner whats good and bad about the setup because I see more people use this setup in there miata vs koni/gc,are they good for dd car or track purpose only? I apologize for grammar ill take English class soon but before that ill build my engine first.but for now :gtfo: |

He is also a damn fine driver. He autox'ed with us on Sunday and although we didn't actually meet he drove a totally unfamiliar car and placed 11th overall.

Chris, do you think there is anyway to get that combo to fit on a car without severely cutting up the fenders?

I'm currently on 255/40-13s, and while not really ideal for a FI Miata, this fitment should be considered an option for any Miata autocrosser, particularly if you use smaller lots. I was at a Tour event this weekend with some guys who run a NA in CSP with 275s. Not sure what wheels they are on, but they had to cut and pull the fronts pretty severely to get them to fit, they ended up cutting down a tire at the DC Pro and I assume made some adjustments to the fenders after that to get to what they currently have. All this being said, the NB has an easier time with 275 fitment. |

You will need to roll and pull the fenders and might have to add a 3mm shim behind the front rims depending on the amount of camber you run.
So not only are the tires wider you have to push them out further unless you’re into tubing the fenders. I have Auto Konexion type 2 flares and they barely are wide enough. Bob |
