Default Enkei RPF-1's 16x7 and larger wheels, centercap solution!

So yeah, we all know that Enkei RPF1 wheels are well quite honestly, between it and the 6UL's, I can't think of a better wheel. So I got a set of 16x7 RPF1's that ae absolutely awesome and have factory offset which makes it perfect for my horsepower levels. So all is good until I realized that center caps for rpf1's 16x7 or larger, are...brace urself, 25 dollars a piece!!! The solution, a buddy of mine gave me his konig centercaps and to my amazement, they clip right in. The hold is tight, but definitely not firm which means I will need to experiment a little with some extremely harsh maneuvers and bumby roads to see if these center caps will stay in tight or if vibration or road bumps will knock them out. (I will use tie-wraps to secure a cap to the wheel rim in case it does fall out.) I definitely believe these will work perfect!

For the longest, good-win racing and others, maybe in an attempt to sell rpf1 center caps for 16x7 wheels or larger (thought I don't see this as a big profit item for them), claimed that only 15x7 inch rpf1's could use konig center caps. I am going to thoroughly test my konig center caps in these 16x7's and let everybody know. I think a set of these can be had for 32 dollars... We will see how it goes!

I love rpf1's more than ANY other wheel, put it on a stocker in 15X7 ~9.8# and I will give you many pleasure.

Hmm. I wonder if they'd fit my Team Dynamics. I have no center caps.

We have inexpensive Team Dynamics caps for Team Dynamics Wheels.

My experience with putting the Konig cap we sell for the 15x7 RP-F1 onto the 16 inch is that it is not quite tight enough and tends to fall off....but if folks are making that work, that's great. We should have more of those from Konig soon...

Yeah, saw that after I posted. That's the fun part of speaking first and thinking later.

Still scraping old gunk off my Team Dynamics, once they are clean and the tires are mounted, I'll see how they look sans centercaps.
