205/45 tires for 205 hp.

I run 205/45 tires too, but not with 205hp.

It really depends on the rubber.

jboogie 12-08-2011 02:34 PM

my all-seasons are 205/50-16s and hold full throttle in first, even when its below 40* outside. All in the rubber.....and the soft sidewalls help.

TurboTim 12-08-2011 03:13 PM

:werd: the old toyos wouldn't hold in 2nd but the new BFG's certainly do.

huntsmcgee 12-09-2011 02:16 AM

im running indy 500 wide ovals. in first gear on 8 psi i dont spin but on 10 psi in first i do 2nd is fine most of the time

jacob300zx 12-09-2011 04:00 AM

I run Tiger Paws, white letters out.

Doppelgänger 12-09-2011 09:25 AM

Mastercraft or GTFO.

General AS-03 here. All the amazing silica compounding of the Continental DWS with a slightly softer rubber = win.

Damn, I can't wait til summer to put some real tires on.

I have the DWS on my Outback as the winter tire and the wife's cooper. Excellent tire.

And I was serious about the 205/45 BFG Gforce. Even this morning's 38degrees, they hook pretty good still.

huntsmcgee 12-11-2011 03:16 AM

thank you 18 psi.. should i roll my rear tires over your back and floor it so you can tell me exactly how many ponys im putting down... or do you have another method

18psi 12-11-2011 04:26 AM

Yes, I have another method: its called a dyno.

Post up a plot or go fuck yourself.
Club fagster wannabe poser bitch.

jboogie 01-20-2012 03:51 PM

peak power and climbing at 7k on a 2560r? How much boost are you able to hold at redline?

18psi 01-20-2012 03:57 PM

lol
starting pull at 3500 has a lot to do with that

Fireindc 01-20-2012 04:04 PM

Honestly those wheels look rad, and some decent power behind it too. Nice car!

huntsmcgee 01-20-2012 04:10 PM

im running a gt2560r im able to hold 10 psi over the whole powerband. i also did the first two runs starting at 1500 rpms and came up with the same numbers. the last run was done at 3500 due to a lean spike at 2800 rpms which only happed on the dyno.
