We have been told to expect the remainder of the wheels in November. Based on past performance, I will believe that when I see the truck pull up. We were never given any tracking info for the first shipment, they just appeared. But I've been told the shipment is on the water.
15x10s are only coming in black and silver, no bronze. We ordered a smaller number of those, and it didn't make sense to split them up further. There are no VIA markings on the wheels. |

Not exactly. I'm rocking my 12lb konigs and loving it.
I just love the way these look, and that they're good quality, and good sizes, and if I was in the market for TR wheels (I'm not, but if i was), I'd get these over those in an instant. |

These make perfect sense for a second set of wheels or for something like Chump.

Curly at this price I can buy 2 sets of these for what my spinwerks cost for only 3 more pounds per wheel. They'd be fine for local wheels. But with everyone now going to 15x11 I think the biggest things these wheels are going to do for me is drive down the used price of 15x10s.

I guess my comment was more sarcastic than anything, they are a decent wheel, with their only fall back being their weight.
But I will say that 2 lbs per corner is a LOT. Konig wideopens and flat outs are $1 more per wheel, and 1.3-1.8 lighter per wheel. Dial-in is $11 more per wheel, 2.8 lbs lighter per corner. FFD can be had around $100/wheel, and they're 1.5lbs lighter. Just stirring the pot. |

It's just a matter of this price at this weight for these, or $250 more for 6ULs or Advantis and nearly 3 lbs less. If I wasn't so damned obsessed with 6ULs (and if the Jongbloeds were offered in a gunmetal or nickel or tungsten color) I'd have ordered them by now. Great looking wheel, and I'm sure it'll be strong and high quality. |
Those were all 15x8 comparisons, varying offsets, from 36 to 20. Lots of 25 I think. Found most of the prices and weights on Goodwin's site, FFD off facebook, TR off...TR.

Heads up: we have one set each of the silver and black 15x10s left in the next shipment. All the others are spoken for, and that includes webstore orders as of right now. We didn't order that many of them, and I can't guarantee we'll get any more at this price.
We do still have a good number of the 8 and 9" ones available in the shipment, no worries there. |
Going by weight can be misleading. A heavier wheel can actually spin faster than a light wheel, depending on whether the weight is carried at the hub or at the rim.
We've seen some interesting numbers with wheels that are wildly heavier than what you're talking about now, but go around the track faster. I think this is mainly because they are larger diameter and offer a stiffer sidewall and less slip angle. |
I hope the vendors properly compensated you guys for the missed delivery times and missed spec!
