My guess is that they'll fit, but it's just a guess. I measured between 13" inner diameter at smallest point and 14" at largest. They seem to have tons of room.

Feeling the  thanks guys!

There is an absolutely ridiculous amount of room in the 15x10s. My six piston 11" setup looks lost in there. There should be no problem fitting over Andrew's stuff.

E02K, what size are you interested in? Different sizes fit differently.

EO2K 01-27-2015 01:48 PM

Specifically 15x8 but I'm sure folks would love to know about 15x9 as well. I'm not man enough for 15x10 ...yet

Remember, I'm trying to replace my stock 15x6 because they sure ain't gonna fit. I'd love another set of 6ULs but $650 is another set of 6ULs -or- a set of Jongbloeds -and- DD tires (DZ102s or something.) I'm stuck driving to track days so I need something inexpensive that will fit over track brakes. A set of the Jongbloeds appear to fit the bill perfectly. Provided they fit. ;)

We have 15x8s on a car with six piston brakes at the shop right now. I'll have a peer inside tomorrow.

Luckily enough, I picked up a set of 15x8 Jongbloeds also for my other miata. I'll bring one along whenever swimming and I can meet up.

No drivetrain, so it's in 4x4 mode but you get the idea.

Turns out the car we have here is on 15x9s. If the offset of the Trackspeed 11.75" kit is the same as the 11" Wilwood setup, it looks as if it will clear. If the Trackspeed caliper sits any further outboard, it's going to take an actual check to see.

Sent you a PM.

Hopefully we can work this out. I would love to see how well these fit.

Thanks for meeting with me Shawn!

The 15x10 -25mm wheels fit over the 11.75 TSE brakes with loads of room to spare.

Attachment 132162

The 15x8 -36mm wheels barely touch the caliper. With a 5mm spacers, they have about 2-3mm of clearance between the barrel and the caliper. This is slightly less than my gen2 8" 6ul.

Man, that's really making me consider a 245 instead of a 225 on my 15x9s. Looks like it fits. The problem is finding a street tire that isn't stupid expensive.

Keith@FM 01-30-2015 07:24 PM

What options have you found, price no object?

18psi 01-30-2015 07:27 PM

is there even such a thing?

I was kinda hoping the maxxis was going to be a street tire, but looks like a slick to me

Yeah, pretty much no such thing... Last time i looked there was 2 options in the above $220 range.

I mean, i don't know how good the Maxxis is when street driven, but i'll get a few extra grooves cut into it if i have to and daily it.

Sweet jesus, that's tight. That's less than 1/8". How much clearance is generally regarded as safe?

I'm a man of my word, shoot me a PM and tell me where to paypal the $20. Thanks guys! :bigtu:

swimming108 01-30-2015 07:54 PM

If you have 9s and are street driving it, just use 225s

I would street drive with that much clearance. If I was using them on the track, I would use about an 8mm spacer in the hope that I could get the caliper to barel clearance to around the 4-5+mm range.

Shawn, you bought the wheels and drove all the way to my house. The booty is yours to claim.

darkcambria 01-30-2015 09:20 PM

Agreed with Jared, the 5mm is clear but given how the wheel tapers out an 8mm would buy you more room for the 15x8. Wish we had a 15x9 to test but given how much room the 15x10 had I'm sure that's fine. The 15x10s had plenty of daylight between caliper and wheel.

No worries on the money, if I ever make it to the west coast buy me some nice local beers. Otherwise I'm happy to help out the community.
