Default Rt-660 track tire wear

Hey all, I’ve been running rt660s this year for my track tire and I’m not thrilled with the wear on them. I’ve been keeping an eye on temps and psi going out and coming in. Heading out I’m at around 22, coming in I’m at 28-30. The centers seem to be just ripping out of the tires. (Bc coils, front and rear sways, frame rail supports, bolt on power mods, stock engine, wilwoods up front) Any ideas?!

What width tire?
What width wheel?
Spring rates?
Pinch weld heights?
Front camber?

Pyrometer readings?
-I'm going to assume yo don't have a pyrometer. Get one.

You might think I am asking a bunch of irrelevant questions. I'm not. Each of these factors have a direct affect on casing distortion, which is what's causing your tread tearing.

I'm running 15x9 225s. This weekend taking tire temps, cold, warm, psi out and in, it looks to be a result of the tire heating different from the face to the actual full tire. Going out at 27 front and 26 rears and bringing the tires back in at 30-32 psi yielded better much results. I will still be sticking a little more camber in them as well for next year. That being said, I feel this was a personal error, and nothing to do with the manufacture of the tire (for anyone who was looking into them). Learning curve on this one cost me a few dollars but the experience was worth it.... I guess lol

Invest in a pyrometer
