Default Swapped from 17's to 15's for first mod. Loving it

HI All. I wanted to confirm my findings regarding my first mod on my 04 MSM. I replaced the OEM factory Racinghart Wheels with 15 inch Konig Freeform's and the difference is incredible, Much easier to maneuver the vehicle and I'm enjoying the "riding on rails" feeling around corners.
I'm not certain if I should keep these wheels/tires for the winter. The 15's are mainly going to be driven 6 months out the year but not during winter. Checking ebay I did find a seller with some dinged up OEM wheels/tires for $999.
These rims have only 9,000 original miles and tires may have about 4500 miles. I'm contemplating on selling them but uncertain on what to ask.

If anyone knows what a fair listing is please advise. Lastly, PM's open if you're interested in trade/purchase or just want to discuss my findings on the 17's vs. 15's.
It truly is a game changer and I'm just getting started with mods. Not sure what's next... maybe flying miata intake kit and exhaust.

Best,
Zach

Yep, you've discovered what we've known since 2004 - you're far better off with something other than those boat-anchor wagon wheels.

As far as price - I think the eBay seller must be smoking something if they think those are $1000/set wheels, whatever the condition. You're going to have to find the right buyer, it's probably not going to be the kind of situation where you put them up and get multiple people fighting to pay you big bucks for them. Start around $500 for the set and work your way down as your desire to get rid of them increases. You might have better luck selling them somewhere like Miata.net where you might land someone looking to bring an MSM back to stock, or ClubRoadster, where the performance/looks tradeoff might be ... different.

I personally wouldn't use those for winter driving; I'd go to another 15" wheel, probably someone's old stock wheels, and put great snow tires on them. I doubt you'll find any snow tires in that 17" size, but I haven't shopped snow tires in over a decade...

Haha. I like that analogy. Definitely felt like a boat while driving those big wheels. Thanks for the tips.
