Should be asking 460s or 550s.
I would go 460s, might as well keep your duty cycles as low as possible.

BEGi has some almost new RC 440s on their used parts page.

so out of 460s and 550s, 460s would keep your duty cycle lower? interesting.

I have a set of 460cc S4 RX7 injectors (high imp, but rectangular connectors), as well as a set of 440cc low imp Supra injectors that I'd be willing to sell. RX7s would need a clean, and the Supras could probably use one (since they've been sitting a while since their last cleaning).

He specifically asked 440 and 460s. I run 550s, that was not one of his options as per his title. I merely stated the obvious, and provided another option. Don't be a dick.

Chad, do you have any rich idle troubles with 550s on the MS? I think Ben is running near minimum open time on his 460s at idle, and still a bit rich. Anything similar?

edit: Not quite a threadjack, as this info might be useful for Sam's decision

Right now the stock ecu is controlling the IAC valve well, and the 550s are idling beautifully. I'll drive it some more to make sure that doesn't change as the car gets warm. I just installed them and headed out of town for Petit in the g/fs protege. Started it up last night and it idled great. I'll post back later today.

All info appreciated. This motor needs to last as long as possible... so power goal is 220whp. 440's are plenty... but 460's make more sense. I think Brain is building me a standalone vice piggy MS, so 550's are in the pot if I can find some.

for the record, Ben is correct. I am bumping minimum on times at idle with RC 440s. idle quality is fine, very smooth, but the a/f gauge says I'm rich.

the RC injectors are supposed to be faster acting than the densos from an RX7. However, the latency values I got (and have since forgotten) came from Jeremy at FM... who wanted me to buy some RC injectors (I had rx7 turbo 550s at that time).

Yeah, i guess I should ad I have it set to idle around 13.8 just because it's smoother around 13.8 -14.0 versus 15.0:1.
