Do you plan to line bore the block? The caps are matched to the block and one from another engine most likely wont fit right.

If you want one anyways, I think I have one somewhere in the shed.

That's good, thanks for looking. From Sav's suggestion and experience I will trash this block and look for another one... Found a 94 and 02 1 hour from here. Will bore and hone and don't worry about it.

 

Anyone know if the 1.6 main caps are the same size/spec ?

 

1.6 are too thick, still need a block (empty) or mains from any 1.8L BP
