Default NB2 headlights- looking to borrow a pair (or purchase cheap ones)

My current headlights need to be sent back for an overhaul/repair, should be about a month or so, I'll need headlights in the meantime. I'll pay for shipping, just wrap each headlight in a layer or two of bubble wrap, and fit them tightly in a box, they ship just fine.

And then I'll ship em back to you. Sound good? Or if anyone is willing to sell them for under 100 dollars, I would be grateful.

Thank you,
Marcello

Still need headlights. Finally worked out a solution with Lightwerkz.

Thanks for your help!

All the morimoto xb55 ballasts are failing prematurely, in typical fashion for me

One of the headlight seal just started leaking, so I'm getting condensation inside.

Lightwerkz is replacing all the ballasts and ignitors with lower wattage Hyluxtek 35watt ballasts and matching ignitors, and resealing the headlight for free. Also they are sending shipping labels to cover shipping. So its just inconvinient, but they are fixing the problems.

Out of curiosity, what do they use for venting? Tube, Gore patch, or something else?

Why going to 35w ballasts?

The Hilux 35w have a 0% failure rate. even going to the hilux 45w introduces a small failure rate, because the electronics are isolated differently. Morimoto xb55 (50w) have a much higher failure rate than other ballasts, in general, and even if I went to the 35w morimotos, there have been early failures.

The current setup is too bright anyways, the foreground is lit up too intensly, reducing (my eye's) contrast in the distance. I should gain usable visibility by dropping down in wattage.

Sounds nerdy. If my XB55s continue to not fail, i should keep them, then?

Makes sense to me. I just have bad, uh, luck or whatever. I just get the defective parts almost all the time. You should be fine.
