I have an 04 mazdaspeed miata and I am in dire need of a transmission. I'm located in Scottsdale and cash ready for a good condition trans.

The previous owner of mine never changed the trans fluid for 92k miles.. once I did it went down hill fast.

Even if you're not local, I am willing to pay shipping

I didn't change mine one time in 160,000 miles. What happened?

 

I changed mine right after I got it (with 92,000 on it) then the input shaft started to whine. As I've driven the whine/almost grind sound as it takes off has gotten worse and worse. So about a month ago at 140,000 I would say, I changed it again... this time a ball from a bearing fell out with some shards of misc. metals...
Motor doesn't make a sound when clutch is in and the clutch still has perfect feel/grab... but when the clutch is out the trans sounds like a wannabe supercharger...

 

Just picked up a trans.
