Scamming the Scammers
Yeah, would go with "fine with waiting"
EDIT: Keep in mind that they may go forward with that, and delay shipping by whatever is the holding period of PayPal. After that, you cannot be refunded (I think 3 months?)

Am following with interest, after our own little escapade with a WTB for MX5/Miata rear doors drew some keen sellers.
Yes to 'day job', no to local, at least I would be very careful throwing locals' names around this thread, because a) you might be wrong, b) if they get to hear about it .... Be different if you have more than the person's name linking them. If they are treating it as a day job, my guess would be Nigeria or China, but surprisingly I have been wrong before

Photoshop a screenshot showing you sent the payment in the correct amount and to the correct address. Then go back and forth with him about "i sent it"
" no you didn't"
"yes I did check again"
"it's not there"
"well i sent it"
That should keep him busy for a minute
Then after getting him a little frustrated you say "paypal isn't working, can you take cashapp"
rinse and repeat. Venmo, zelle, apple pay, etc

I've been away from this one for a while. Anyway, getting back on track...
Concerning the airbag module:

I sent the payment over a week ago, and have not heard any confirmation from you. My account shows that it was sent.
Would you please double-check to be sure you haven't missed it?

Man, Bill Robertson has a magical ECU on this hands...
I've asked if he'll take $300 shipped for it. That's a lowball price for such an amazing ECU, admittedly. I'm betting he doesn't realize just how special it is.
