You just need to get a new axle there's no fixing that one. I would call planet miata or the guy hornet ball suggested
|
I'm not gonna lie I'm cheap about a lot of things I would run two different axles if I couldn't find one. Also you may be able to run 1.6 axles and stubs but I can't remember off hand I'll look later
|
The 1.6s don't interchange. 6" diff vs. 7" diff. That's why a Torsen swap should include driveshaft and axles.
|
Right. all 1.8 axles interchange though is what the consensus seems to be? The 1.6 axles on my car are scrap and will be tossed aside.
|
call 800-349-5850, LKQ in WI. they have both sides out of a 96 and are pretty cheap, shipping shouldn't be too bad since your neighbors.
I THINK they swapped to 1 piece in 96??? |
Literally 2 minutes after I pulled the trigger for the ebay shaft..... they have that one posted for 35 bucks.. are you kidding..

Murphy is alive and well . . . .

Aside from that, the one-piece and two-piece axles are freely interchangeable and have the same overall dimensions. |
Treasure coast Miata in Florida has them cheap...Assisi a side note its best to leave the axle on the hub when selling a Torsen swap that's what i have always done
